The DUKW, often referred to simply as the "Duck," was an amphibious vehicle used by U.S. forces during World War II and beyond.
Designed for transport on land and water, the DUKW was capable of transporting troops, supplies, and even light vehicles directly from ships to beaches during landings.
Equipped with a six-cylinder engine and waterproof bodywork, it could reach decent land speeds and sail efficiently on the water thanks to its boat hull.
DUKWs were essential during Allied forces' amphibious and logistical operations during the war.
