The Cruiser Mk I was one of the first British tanks in the Cruiser series, developed in the 1930s.
Armed with a 2-pounder (QF 2-pounder) gun and equipped with a machine gun, it was designed to be fast and maneuverable on the battlefield.
With a crew of three men, it could reach a maximum speed of 30 km/h.
The Cruiser Mk I was used extensively at the beginning of the war, especially in France, North Africa and Greece.
Although overtaken by more modern tanks as the war progressed, it played an important role in the early British campaigns.
